Cancellation Policy
At Rocking Horse Ranch in Avon Park, Florida, we strive to provide a consistent and enjoyable learning experience for all our riders. To help us maintain our schedule and accommodate everyone fairly, please review our cancellation policy below:
- Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice: You may reschedule your lesson at no additional charge to any available time slot within the same calendar month (subject to availability).
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson (or no-shows): The lesson will be considered missed, and you will be responsible for the full lesson fee. Unfortunately, rescheduling is not permitted for late cancellations.
- All cancellations must be made by phone or email to ensure proper notification.
- We reserve the right to cancel lessons due to inclement weather, horse health issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered a full credit or reschedule option.

Monthly Lesson Package Policy
At Rocking Horse Ranch in Avon Park, Florida, we offer a convenient Monthly Lesson Package designed to provide flexibility while simplifying scheduling and billing for our riders.
- The Monthly Package includes one private lesson per week (typically 4 lessons per month, adjusted slightly for months with 5 weeks).
- Clients may schedule their lessons at their convenience, including spreading them out once per week or grouping them (e.g., two or three lessons in a single week) as long as all lessons are completed within the calendar month purchased.
- Payment for the Monthly Package is due in full at the beginning of the month (or upon purchase) and covers the entire package.
- This package structure allows us to streamline administration by processing one monthly payment per rider rather than individual payments for each lesson.
- Unused lessons do not roll over to the following month and are forfeited if not scheduled and completed within the purchased month.
- The Monthly Package follows the same cancellation guidelines as individual lessons: cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled within the same month (subject to availability); cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows result in forfeiture of that lesson without reschedule or refund.

Rider Attire and Safety Requirements
For the safety of all our riders and to ensure a positive experience at Rocking Horse Ranch in Avon Park, Florida, we require the following attire and equipment for every lesson:
- Footwear: Closed-toed shoes that fully cover the heel are mandatory. Crocs or similar open-heel footwear are not permitted. Shoes with a small heel are preferred for proper stirrup security.
- Pants: Long pants (jeans or riding pants) must be worn. Shorts are not allowed.
- Helmet: An SEI/ASTM-certified riding helmet is required at all times while mounted or handling horses. Riders may bring their own properly fitted helmet, or we will gladly provide one at no additional charge.
These requirements help prevent injuries and ensure safe interaction with our horses. Riders arriving without appropriate attire may not be able to participate in the lesson, and no refund or reschedule will be offered. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping safety first!
